Ever since the earthquake and tsunami, Japan has been experiencing a downturn in the number of tourists that visit the country. Recently, however, tourism has almost climbed back up to normal. It is still low but it is improving dramatically. They are expecting a huge number of tourists to come during the cherry blossom season this year and are launching new promotions in different countries to encourage tourists to come visit. I thought it was interesting how short of a time it took Japan to almost make a full recovery after such a devastating event. I feel as if this showed how strong of a nation Japan really is.
