Apple in China - End of the iPad?

Taiwan's foxconn first claimed poor working conditions for it's workers, now there are threats of possible exports of the iPad being halted.  A manufacturer by the name of Proview Technology claims that it holds the mainland trademark of the iPad.  They claim that they made Internet Personal Assistance Device back in 2000.  Apple however, claims they paid Proview the money for the name in mainland.  This article is interesting because China is indeed known for making cheaper versions of everything they manufacture.  But who is in the right this time?

  1. This could be interesting to see in the future. If this is a large enough of a problem, the shortage of iPads would be an indicator of how much the US relies on China.
