Japan is still struggling and attempting to recover from the disasters it faced last year. This article describes some of the problems they are facing as they attempt to rebuild the city. Instead of going back and trying to rebuild the old cities, they want to make them better and more advanced, however, this is proving to be a problem with the older people, since they want to see their original city rebuilt. One change that is for sure is instead of building a sea wall 5 m high, they are building one 12.5 m high which will take about 5 years to complete. I can't even imagine trying to reconstruct and rebuild an entire city. That would be very, very difficult for me to do, it's impressive how the Japanese people are attempting to rebuild and reconstruct this city.

It is amazing what the japanese can do. they always keep their goals high.
ReplyDeleteWow! I see many good things out of this article. It is such a sad thing about the Tsunami and the damage that it caused. As i read about the absolute destruction of the city I felt sad. It is a beautiful thing the lone tree standing, fighting for its life. It shows us that even though we would like to control all things we cannot, nature will have her way. It was interesting to read this article. I like how it mentioned that Japan was determined this time to learn from it's mistakes in the past and not have the same problems of idleness and wasted time like the last big Tsunami and Quake in the last 1990s.
