Aircraft carriers are ships that planes and helicopters can land on and take off from in the middle of the ocean. It is used for military purposes. In the article title PLA stands for the People’s Liberation Army. The PLA Navy Deputy Commander Xu Hongmeng commented on the military developments and this subject. He stated that this new aircraft carrier could be ready soon within the next year.
Another leader in the Chinese navy said that one aircraft carrier was not enough and they eventually plan to have a formation of three or four. This is a semi scary concept for America and South Korea who is often is at odds with in disputes between those two. China wants to prepare itself and become a stronger better military force.

That is kind of scary. I read that China is also financing themselves by selling their debt to Japan and other countries. As china grows as a military power, that means big consequences for the rest of the world.

This makes me ask why China thinks that it needs three to four aircraft carriers. I agree this is a really scary thought. It makes me wonder what China has planned for the future.
