US Exports to China Up 50% Since 2008

This article from the Washington Post brought an interesting perspective to the current trade relationship between the US and China. In most news sources, I feel like most of the talk is centered on how heavily the US imports from China. In addition to increasing 50 percent in value since 2008, US exports to China have gone up 468 percent since 2001.

It will definitely be different to experience the other side of this trade relationship when we are in China.

  1. I agree. It will be very interesting to experience this on the Chinese end of the equation. Also, it worries me a little that the US has become so reliant on China over the decade. Variation is a principle of security in the business world. Although it's true that every country has one or two main trade partners, 50% to one country is a lot.
