Port of Hong Kong Prepares for Bigger Vessels

With expansion of the Panama Canal nearly complete, the Port of Hong Kong is preparing for a surge in international trade. In order to accommodate more "mega-vessels", they are dredging their container terminals. The Port of Hong Kong is the world's largest container port. I cannot verify this statistic, but someone told me that 2/3 of all consumer goods travel through the Port of Hong Kong. I am excited to visit DHL at the Port of Hong Kong during our trip this spring. -Ben Rindlisbacher

  1. This is interesting that there are improvements in trade in different areas indicating that there is an expectation that there will be an increase in exports. In my article, it talked about trade routes around Norway. It will be interesting to follow trade patterns and watch the expansion.
