For the first time, Thailand used a laser technology called TrueBeam to treat cancer in a 63 year old cancer patient. The technology allows doctors to treat the cancer without invasive surgery at all. The system is much more accurate than other treatments and can be performed in as little as 3 minutes.
I think the advance in technology is fascinating. The technology allows doctors to treat cancer that would otherwise be near impossible.

I think this is fascinating as well!! The description sounded very desirable for patients especially those with lung, or heart, or cancers/tumors developing in delicate thoracic cavity region. I would like to see the cost of producing such a machine, and how long it would take to implement this technology regularly throughout the world and the U.S. Also, with supply, and demand increasing what would be the cost over time for such treatment? Would it cost less, just as much, or more than the traditional methods? Although not pleasantly, I notice that cost is a huge influence, even when dealing with medical and health issues. ReplyDeleteI wonder if this is really as good as it sounds. If so, it is cool that a Thailand was able to come up with such a revolutionary treatment. I'm thinking more people will have to try this for size to make sure it is as effective as they think
